Modelling of the FFAG magnets is so far either with the simplified transfer matrix or with TOSCA field maps. The former is easy to calculate and very fast to obtain the results, but not accurate or missing details of the end fields. The latter is much more realistic, but takes time to calculate. It is not practical to optimise the parameters with these. We have developed the FFAG megnets model which is like TOSCA field maps, but calculated analytically so that quick iterations for optimisation is possible. The fields are read by simulation codes which is capable to calculate optics based on the field maps. This modelling was employed to optimise the novel spiral FFAG.
